{"id":1959,"date":"2026-06-16T10:21:06","date_gmt":"2026-06-16T08:21:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alcove.crosss3.eu\/event\/participation-of-the-university-of-lille-in-gecco-2026\/"},"modified":"2026-06-16T15:01:41","modified_gmt":"2026-06-16T13:01:41","slug":"participation-of-the-university-of-lille-in-gecco-2026","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/alcove.crosss3.eu\/en\/event\/participation-of-the-university-of-lille-in-gecco-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Participation of the University of Lille in GECCO 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-leading-international-event\">A leading international event<\/h2>\n<p>The ALCOVE project will be represented at the <strong>Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference (GECCO 2026)<\/strong>, a major international scientific event dedicated to artificial intelligence and optimization methods inspired by natural processes.<\/p>\n\n<p>GECCO brings together researchers from around the world to share the latest advances in machine learning, optimization, and data exploration.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-scientific-contribution-from-the-university-of-lille\"> A scientific contribution from the University of Lille<\/h2>\n<p>In this context, <strong>Adel Mokadem (University of Lille) <\/strong>will deliver an oral presentation following the acceptance of his scientific paper.<\/p>\n\n<p>His work focuses on the development and evaluation of optimization methods known as <strong>metaheuristics,<\/strong> which are used to explore and analyze complex datasets.<\/p>\n\n<p>More specifically, this contribution investigates different strategies for <strong>decomposing complex problems into sub-problems<\/strong>, in order to improve data exploration and model performance.
