ALCOVE project launch

·

A big thank‑you to all participants and speakers at the ALCOVE project launch! On Monday, 31 March 2025, at the Gernez Rieux Institute of the Lille University Hospital (CHU de Lille), we had the opportunity to engage with experts and committed stakeholders working on lung cancer screening, in the presence of representatives from Interreg France–Wallonie–Vlaanderen and CrossS3. Seeing such strong interest in this crucial topic was extremely rewarding.

Many thanks to Prof. Anne‑Claude Romain, Marc Debliquy, Hans Hallez, Jessica Schiro, Julien Jonckheere, and Caroline Coisne for their presentations on the electronic nose, VOC sensors, safety, signal and data, clinical validation, and the project’s valorisation strategy.

We also warmly thank Dr Sebahat Ocak, Matthieu Calafiore, Stephane Holbrechts, Olivier Leleu, Prof. Arnaud Scherpereel, and Prof. Sébastien Hulo for their inspiring exchanges on the prospect of an organised lung cancer screening programme. This event was a success thanks to the dedication of the CHU de Lille pilot team:
Prof. Sébastien Hulo (coordinator), Dr Eric Wasielewski, Dr Caroline Beaudelot, Prof. Arnaud Scherpereel, François Sihrener, and the contribution of all cross‑border partners.

This is just the beginning — more details coming soon!
