A high‑visibility launch: ALCOVE makes headlines in France and Belgium

·

A few days before the official launch event of the ALCOVE project, a cross‑border press release was distributed. The result? Major media success, with over twenty press mentions recorded in France and Belgium across print, online, radio, and television outlets.

Leading media such as France Télévisions, RTBF, France Bleu, Doctissimo, La Libre Belgique, La Voix du Nord, BX1, L’Avenir, and Santé Magazine relayed the announcement. Several newsrooms also requested interviews or produced radio and TV reports, highlighting the promise of a major innovation in public health.

This success can largely be attributed to the close coordination between Lille University Hospital (CHU de Lille, project coordinator) and the Institut Jules Bordet in Brussels, who jointly conveyed consistent messages in both languages and across both territories. Thanks to this united effort, the visibility of the ALCOVE project increased significantly from the very beginning, laying the foundations for an ambitious communication strategy in the months ahead.

Funded by the Interreg France–Wallonie–Vlaanderen programme, the ALCOVE project is already establishing itself as an innovative health initiative to watch closely.
