Lung cancer: the challenge of screening for early detection

·

Professor Sébastien Hulo from Lille University Hospital was recently a guest on euradio, on the occasion of an interview dedicated to the Interreg ALCOVE project.

This was a valuable opportunity to revisit the context, the project’s ambitions, and its place within a European dynamic serving public health.

We warmly thank Professor Hulo, the project coordinator, for taking part in this media exercise and for sharing, with clarity and conviction, the challenges of early lung cancer screening.
Ces temps d’échange et de vulgarisation sont essentiels pour faire progresser les projets de recherche et favoriser leur appropriation par les acteurs de terrain.

The visibility of the ALCOVE project is indeed a key lever to:
– raise awareness of this innovative approach among stakeholders in healthcare and screening,
– strengthen synergies across the France–Wallonia–Flanders region,
– sustainably anchor the project within regional and cross-border ecosystems.

We also thank the euradio journalist for their interest in this major public health topic and for giving a voice to European research.
