URCA x IMT Nord Europe: a week of joint experiments

In December, the team from the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA) spent a week in the Sensor Laboratory at IMT Nord Europe for a first evaluation of organic transistors exposed to low concentrations of VOCs.

After setting up their equipment on site, the researchers measured current variations in a humid atmosphere, representative of human breath.
The tests showed no response for certain gases, but clear sensitivity to others at extremely low concentrations, well below the ppm range.

Next steps:
Define a pre‑conditioning procedure for the transistors and carry out a new test campaign from 2 to 6 February, including new sensitive layers.
